SUMMARY

Jack Worthing masquerades as Earnest in the town and creates a decadent younger brother called Earnest whilst in the country, something that his good friend Algernon takes advantage of. Both masquerading as Earnest, one in the town and one in the country, Jack and Algernon fall in love with the beauties Gwendolyn Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. But the imperious Lady Bracknell has a few choice words to say to the besotted young pairs.
