SUMMARY

'Roger go to yellow three' is a new vocal/dramatic work by Christopher Fox and Edward Wickham, in which six characters trapped inside an unremitting, devilish science experiment make a bid for freedom. The work will be performed by award-winning vocal ensemble The Clerks.

In a creative and humorous way, the work explores the science of 'auditory streaming', the function of hearing which enables us to make conversation in a crowded room, or pick up a single melody within polyphonic music. This presentation will provide the opportunity to engage with the work more directly by inviting audience feedback at the end. The new work will be presented alongside music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, a repertoire for which The Clerks has an international reputation through its many recordings and concerts.
