SUMMARY

The Cambridge University Gilbert and Sullivan Society are proud to announce our 2013 Fresher's Show: HMS Pinafore!

Aboard the H.M.S. Pinafore, the lowly sailor Ralph Rackstraw and the captain's daughter Josephine are in love, though neither dares declare it, divided as they are by the barriers of class. But when Josephine becomes the object of the attentions of Sir Joseph Porter KCB, aided and abetted by her upwardly mobile father, will true love triumph, or will Josephine find herself the unhappy wife of the First Lord of the Admiralty? Romance, satire on class and politics, and some suitably marvellous music - what else is there? Oh joy! Oh Rapture!
