““One of the masterpieces of French theatre performed in its original language””

Pembroke Players

SUMMARY

Coelio has fallen in love with Marianne, Claudio’s wife. But he doesn’t dare speak to her, instead asking his friend Octave to plead for him. Although Coelio’s melancholy hadn't moved Marianne, Octave’s vibrant joie de vivre infects her and awakens her desire. Written by the poet Alfred de Musset, the play is one of the masterpieces of French theatre. It will be performed in its original language, but the focus on physical theatre will make this production accessible to everyone.

Admission: £6(£5)
